What is a MAGA Republican?

When I hear Joe Biden and Karine Jean-Pierre talk about them, they seem so frightening

President Joe Biden frequently mentions “MAGA Republicans” in his speeches. Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre refers to them frequently in her White House press briefings.

And it’s never with kindness or affection.

But as many times as I’ve heard them use the phrase, I’ve never heard either Biden or KJP explain what a MAGA Republican is.

Nor have I heard a reporter ask for clarification on that point.

Words and their meanings matter.

So I’m asking:

What is a MAGA Republican?

How is a MAGA Republican different from a plain Republican?

What does MAGA mean?

Go ahead, explain it to me. I’ll wait.
