The Fast Food Brand with the Lowest Customer Loyalty Ranking
I was only mildly surprised
Marketforce Information released its latest Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) Panel Research Summary for Q3 2022 and the results were interesting.
Did you know …
For brand image and values, Chick-Fil-A and Starbucks are the most polarizing brands.
That didn’t surprise me. I love Chick-Fil-A and I think Starbucks coffee is terrible and overpriced. And then there are the corporate values of both companies, which I have strong feelings about.
Polarizing though it may be, Chick-Fil-A leads all brands in the customer loyalty index (which combines satisfaction and recommendation) followed closely by In-N-Out Burger.
And the brand that came in dead last in the customer loyalty index ranking?
McDonald’s
McDonald’s is the largest fast food chain in the U.S., an industry pioneer with a market share of 43.8% and revenue exceeding $23 billion. But apparently when it comes to customer loyalty, longevity and size don’t matter — performance does.
