I didn't realize the friend link wasn't working at all. I think eliminating the three free articles per month is a mistake, and I hope Medium will reconsider. It will be interesting to see what happens to the new member stats when people can't get a decent sample before they have to pay.

Would I continue writing on Medium without payment? Maybe just a little but not much -- and I would have to reconsider my paid membership. I pay for Medium so that I can support the other writers, and if they and I are not getting paid, I'd have to know where that money is going (yes, I realize there are costs to maintaining the platform).

I'm thinking by the time I get the latest changes figured out, they will have made more. Always an adventure!
