Does it work to send blind emails out prospecting for customers?

Maybe. But not if you do it this way.

Like many people, I generally don’t answer calls when I don’t recognize the name or number on my caller ID. Even ones that seem legitimate are often spoofed.

So when I got a call from a printing company, I let it go to voicemail. The caller didn’t leave a message.

A little later, I received this email from the printing company:

Please respond at your earliest convenience.

I’m not in the market for a new print vendor. I found the grammar errors as well as the command to respond less than impressive. And I’m busy. So my “earliest convenience” is never.

I didn’t reply.

Then I got this email.
