Can you decide to become a Christian?
Is becoming a Christian a choice, like deciding where to go for dinner, or is it more?

A while back I was listening to a sermon, and the preacher was talking about a mid-20th century theologian. He was making reference to how this person’s life had evolved. He talked about things that the theologian said and did before he became a Christian, and then how his life changed after.
When we become Christians, our lives do change.
But what stood out to me was the preacher said he did this, he did this, and then he decided to become a Christian, and the preacher went on to talk about things that this man did after he became a Christian.
I got to thinking, can you decide to become a Christian?
Is it like you decide to go on vacation or change jobs or whatever?
