Be the Light that Leads People to Christ
That’s how we build the Kingdom of God
I’m Facebook friends with hundreds of people I’ve never met or am ever likely to meet in real life.
Recently I saw a Facebook post by one of those people that began:
Dear Christians, (if you are not a Christian please unfriend me asap)
My first thought was: What an un-Christian thing to say.
I’m a Christian, but I briefly considered unfriending this person. Then I took a breath, prayed for her, and clicked off Facebook to get some work done.
When I clicked back on my Facebook tab a little later, the post was still at the top of my feed and it had garnered more than 50 comments, but I couldn’t see them. I refreshed the page and the post was gone. I suspect the author had been attacked and took the post down.
As Christians, we are called to live in community with one another. We are also called to spread the Gospel.
Well, how can we spread the gospel if we only associate with people who already know it?
The Bible cautions us about associating with people of low moral character, but that’s exactly what Jesus did.
