AI Doesn’t Scare Me, and it Shouldn’t Scare You
Generative AI should excite and empower you.
The headlines are full of dire warnings about AI and how it’s going to be the end of society. Even Elon Musk called it “dangerous technology.”
There’s a lot about the development of AI that I don’t understand. I’m not a tech creator, I’m a tech user. I won’t argue with Elon Musk about what sort of regulations we need for future AI development.
But the AI that we are currently using doesn’t scare me and it shouldn’t scare you.
Writers and content creators will work better by learning how to use and integrate generative AI into our work. According to an AI-generated post on the World Economic Forum website:
Generative AI refers to a category of AI algorithms that generate new outputs based on the data they have been trained on.
It uses a type of deep learning called generative adversarial networks and has a wide range of applications, including creating images, text and audio.
While there are concerns about the impact of AI on the job market, there are also potential benefits such as freeing up time for humans to focus on more creative and value-adding work.
